The Tides Inn offers affordable guest rooms and beach cottages on the bluffs in Pismo Beach. The proposed expansion includes demolition of an existing 23-room hotel and 3 guest cottages, demolition of an existing private beach access stairway, and construction of a new 52,700 square foot hotel facility consisting of 97 rooms and related amenities including an outdoor pool, spa, restaurant, bar, outdoor space, new beach stairway, and coastal access pathway. The proposed development would consist of ten (10) 2-3 story buildings including a subterranean parking garage containing 102 valet-served spaces. The project would also propose a coastal bluff public pedestrian pathway, connection to the vertical beach access located on the adjacent Sea Crest Hotel property, and construction of a new beach access stairway.
