Railroad Square

San Luis Obispo, CA

Client:
Depot Square, LP

Located adjacent to the San Luis Obispo Railroad Station and Railroad Museum, the Railroad Square project is a historic preservation and rehabilitation of a circa 1912 Railroad Square building (also known as the Channel Commercial building) in the historic railroad district of San Luis Obispo. The project was successful in restoring the building to its former glory, both architecturally and structurally, as well as providing for an architectural intervention of the latter non-historic wood-framed additions to the original unreinforced masonry (URM) structure.

Site features and amenities include a cobble swale with boulders, wooden boardwalk decking, wood benches and pots, bicycle racks and storage lockers, and concrete pavers.
