Peoples’ Self-Help Housing (PSHH) breaks ground at the future location of their San Luis Obispo corporate office! With the 50th anniversary of PSHH quickly approaching, the completion of this new 23,000 square-foot building will be the pinnacle of a celebratory year. The expansion of Peoples’ Self-Help Housing is a result of the need for affordable housing throughout the tri-county area. Anticipated to be under one roof by 2021, the San Luis Obispo-based staff will be more equipped to meet the demand of the growing organization and continue their efforts of transforming lives and strengthening communities. Development partners of the project include Oasis Associates, Murray Duncan Architects and North Coast Engineering.

Peoples’ Self-Help Housing was founded in 1970. It is the longest-serving nonprofit affordable housing developer on the Central Coast. PSHH serves low-income working families, farmworkers, seniors and veterans as well as those living with disabilities and the formerly homeless. With 2,000 rental units across San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara and Ventura, PSHH is committed to the mission of building affordable homes.
